Renold Quinlan v Chris Eubank Jr. undercard swells for ITV

Ryder v Etches, potentially a fight of the night at the Olympia, comes on the back of heavyweight David Price agreeing to battle Christian Hammer in a clash that could erase the Briton’s memory of a KO loss to Erkan Teper.

Teper was banned for two years, later dropped to one year, after admitting doping on the back of knocking Price out in 2015, before the German lost to Hammer via decision on his return to action in 2016.

A win for Price over Hammer would be small consolation for the Merseyside man, who would then move a further step closer to sealing his dream of a world title shot this year.

As for Ryder and Etches, both have suffered setbacks in their pursuit of UK glory, but have the opportunity to put their names in the frame to fight for the British super-middleweight belt – which should become vacant in the first half of 2017.

Holder Callum Smith is currently in line for a shot at the winner of the unification between Badou Jack and James DeGale, leaving the 168 pound Lonsdale Belt up for grabs when he does.

Finally, undefeated Galahad will be aiming to step up his progress following an extended period out of the ring when the Yorkshireman faces an opponent to be named in his 22nd outing as a pro.

Quinlan v Eubank for the IBO super-middleweight championship will be available for £12.95 on ITV Box Office, with the undercard being televised beforehand on ITV4.
