Bob Arum maps out three of Manny Pacquiao’s next four fights

The 38 year-old, who has committed to fighting until at least 2018, was strongly linked to a possible battle with super-lightweight king Crawford before Arum put the breaks on the fight.

Pacquiao v Crawford is set to be saved for the end of 2017, whilst a contest opposite super-featherweight title holder Vasyl Lomachenko is also a possibility in late 2018, according to Arum.

That leaves just one spot open for any other potential foe to nail down a lucrative bout with the ‘Pacman’ as the spring of 2018 is currently the only window of opportunity not being considered by the long-time promoter.

Horn is now heading the pack for what will be Pacquiao’s first bout outside Las Vegas for three years.

“Now that the New Year is over I’m going to finalize a location because we’re looking out an opponent depending on the locations like in Australia, England, Middle East or maybe even in Mexico,” Arum told The Manila Times.

“That’s what I want to do with the last period of Manny’s career. I want him to be known as a worldwide fighter.”

In regards to Horn, Arum added: “Jeff Horn is a good possibility. I will be flying soon to the Philippines once I finalized every detail.

“A possible Pacquiao fight against Ukrainian Vasyl Lomachenko could also happen late next year in the US if ever Lomachenko goes up to the welterweight class.

“He is presently weighing up at 135 pounds and he’ll be fighting in March,” he pointed out.
