Tyson Fury defiant: I’m still heavyweight champion, haven’t lost it in the ring!

Without a fight all year, Fury was pressured into giving up his clutch of belts, all except the fetching ‘Ring Magazine title’ which was made famous in the prominent ‘Rocky’ movie franchise during the 1980’s.

Fury, 27, is now planning a comeback, possibly in the spring of 2017, and says he’ll remain the best fighter in the top division until somebody agrees to trade blows and is able to defeat him inside the ropes.

Despite battling depression and demons from drug and alcohol abuse, time is still on Fury’s side, whilst the weight class has further split due to ex-champion’s obvious outside distractions.

A fight with Wladimir Klitschko fell apart, and Fury will now be forced to watch on as Anthony Joshua bids to put an end to the Ukrainian’s career on April 29 at Wembley Stadium.

Linked to Frank Warren, Fury is on a different path towards regaining his position and could target WBC ruler Deontay Wilder in what ‘2 Fast’ would fully regard as a unification of the World Boxing Council and Ring belts for the number one spot at 200 pounds plus.
