The talented Webb, 8 (7) – 0, will make his second appearance on a Cyclone Promotions bill in the space of a month, having boxed on the undercard of Josh Taylor’s Commonwealth super lightweight title victory over Dave Ryan last month in Edinburgh. The 6’5” wrecking machine Webb was in scintillating that night as he made short work of Croatia’s Jakov Gospic, a man who had previously taken the likes of Erkan Teper into the later rounds.

The Scott Welch managed prospect will be boxing for the sixth time this calendar year on November 18, against an opponent to be named shortly, and he will be hoping to make it a hat-trick of victories at the SSE Arena, Wembley, having previously registered stoppage victories over Hungarians Martin Szatmari and Zoltan Csala at the historic North London venue.

The top of the bill on November 18 at the SSE Arena, Wembley will be George Groves against Germany’s two-time world title challenger and former European (EBU) light heavyweight champion Eduard ‘Eddy’ Gutknecht, 30 – 4 – 1. That headline bout will be for Groves’ WBA International super middleweight title, with the winner all but guaranteed a shot at the WBA world title in early 2017.

There are two title fights and a British welterweight eliminator on the Groves v Gutknecht undercard on November 18. Wales’ undefeated British flyweight champion Andrew Selby, brother of IBF world featherweight king Lee, makes his first step up to world level when he takes on WBO #15 ranked flyweight Jake Bornea of the Philippines, in a vacant IBF Inter-Continental flyweight title bout.

Coalisland’s undefeated middleweight prospect Conrad ‘Dynamite’ Cummings faces off against Germany’s seasoned contender Ronny Mittag, 28 – 2, for the vacant IBF Inter-Continental middleweight belt, in what is a real test for the twenty-five year old Shane McGuigan trained boxer.

Also featuring on the stacked SSE Arena, Wembley bill is Reading’s undefeated Tamuka Mucha, 15 – 0, who boxes Belfast’s Celtic welterweight champion Paddy Gallagher in a British welterweight title eliminator. That excellent contest could well be fight of the night on November 18.

Another top-rated British welterweight, Johnny Garton, also appears on the huge SSE Arena, Wembley undercard. English champion Garton is set to box in an international six-round contest against an opponent to be name shortly.

Popular local undefeated prospects Dan Dan Keenan and Dean Richardson round of the evenings action, with Keenan facing off against fellow Englishman Edward French and Richardson taking on Poland’s Marcin Cybulski, both over four rounds at super welterweight. It looks set to be a cracking night of entertainment on November 18 at the SSE Arena, Wembley.

NICK WEBB: “I’ve had a great and explosive year so far and fought on some big shows, gaining a lot of experience. I can’t wait for this show on November 18, it will be my third appearance at the SSE Arena, Wembley and I’m improving every time I box there.

“Working with Cyclone Promotions is exciting and this is another opportunity to showcase my ferocious power in front of a big audience live on Spike UK.”

BARRY MCGUIGAN: “Nick Webb is a big punching heavyweight who is improving all of the time. It’s important that he gains experience by fighting on big bills like this one on November 18. Boxer’s learn so much by being involved in big nights and November 18 is just that.

“There are three title fights and a British welterweight title eliminator on the bill and Nick will benefit from being part of it all. I know that Scott Welch very much believes that Nick can go a long way in this sport and Nick has already proved in his recent performances that it is going to be an exciting ride. I’m looking forward to seeing his progression on November 18.”

SCOTT WELCH: “I’m delighted that Nick will be boxing on November 18 at the SSE Arena, Wembley. He is a dedicated young man who we believe will go very far and November 18 is an important next step on his journey to the top.

“Boxing on live free-to-air television (Spike UK) will help Nick gain new fans and allows him to showcase the progress he is making in the gym.”

Doors will open at 5pm at the SSE Arena, Wembley on Friday November 18, with boxing starting at 5.30pm.
