David Price, Ohara Davies handed European foes in Germany

The 33 year-old looked good back in May when fighting for the first time since losing to disgraced German Erkan Teper in 2015 and warms up for a potential outing on October 15 in his hometown of Liverpool.

Back-to-back victories for Price this month would then see the Olympic bronze medallist head into a massive fight against a ranked contender on the Anthony Joshua undercard with a world title shot in sight.

Opponent Perkovic, 42, has lost more than half of his 52 contests, and the Croat should be no match for Price, having previously lost to the likes of Carlos Takam, Hughie Fury, Kubrat Pulev and Mark de Mori.

Victory for ‘Two Tanks’ could ironically set-up a fight with Garrido himself or Italian Andrea Scarpa with the WBC silver super-lightweight title on the line. Then, there’s also the possibility of a British title battle with Tyrone Nurse. 

It’s just a case of who is willing to step up and take on the avoided contender before he eventually forces the issue himself by landing a mandatory shot.
