Hearn considering roof-covered heavyweight night in Wales featuring Joshua-Pulev, Parker-Price and Whyte-Chisora

Despite initially stating Anthony Joshua would return on November 26, Hearn is now considering alternative dates for what will be the IBF champion’s first fight in five outside London, potentially against Bulgarian Kubrat Pulev.

In chief support, Joshua’s mandatory looks set to be the co-feature – whilst an all-British contest – possibly with the Lonsdale Belt at stake, could make it three high-profile heavyweight contests taking place under the retractable roof at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium (formerly Millennium Stadium).

“We are talking maybe about David Price v Joseph Parker, Dillian Whyte v Dereck Chisora and then Anthony Joshua v Kubrat Pulev all bundled into one – it could be a lot of fun,” Hearn told The Daily Mail.

“It could be either late November or in December – we will definitely have the roof shut given the time of the year,” he added.

Joshua was instantly linked to a fight at Manchester Arena once Hearn had ruled out his home city as a venue, which could still be the case depending on what can be arranged in the next few weeks.

Pulev would be seen as a good test for Joshua on the back of two untested American opponents as the two-time European title holder has consistently mixed it at the top level.

Wins over Tony Thompson, Alexander’s Dimitrenko and Ustinov, plus Chisora himself have kept Pulev highly-ranked either side of a punishing knockout loss to Wladimir Klitschko in 2014.

For New Zealander Parker, the bout would represent a UK debut for the unbeaten puncher, whilst Chisora and Whyte would be able to settle their differences following some previous bad blood.
