Watch: Mayweather confirms Schaefer deal imminent, rips De La Hoya for dressing in drag

The 38 year-old retired pound for pound king announced that he would soon be working with De La Hoya’s old friend Richard Schaefer, who parted from the former world champion on bad terms, before ripped into the man he defeated via split decision back in 2007.

“I saw Richard Schaefer tonight and we are about to do some big things together,” insisted Mayweather to Elie Seckbach. “I can’t wait to work with Richard and can’t wait for him to be back in the sport.

Floyd then continued by giving Schaefer’s Golden Boy colleague Oscar De La Hoya a tongue-lashing: “I like to work with guys like Richard Schaefer and Al Haymon. Guys that are drug-free. Guys that wear suits. Guys that dress like men.

“Of course, I’m sending shots at Oscar De La Hoya because I’m always sending shots at him, you know. I don’t respect men that dress in drag.

“He likes to send shots at me too, saying I’m a born fighter and I like to run,” he added.

Mayweather followed up the rant by stating De La Hoya only has one fighter to bank on in his stable, Canelo Alvarez, and stated that he could come back at any time and defeat the Mexican a second time.
