Fury: Klitschko can fight November 28, now it’s up to TV

Klitschko’s ailment meant a scheduled October 24 clash with Fury had to be postponed, although the Briton now says that the fight can happen on November 28 provided UK TV broadcasters Sky Sports Box Office can work with the date.

Sky are already committed to showing IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook’s fight on the previous date for Klitschko v Fury and would have to approve an unprecedented fourth pay-per-view this year in order to confirm the world heavyweight title bout.

Brook’s last defence against Frankie Gavin was shown on SKY PPV this year as well as the massive super-fight between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao on May 2.

Fury, 27, has been left a frustrated figure since 39 year-old Klitschko pulled out of their fight just two days after the challenger dressed up as Batman in an entertaining press conference in the UK.

Interest in the contest is at an all-time high, leaving Sky Head of Boxing Adam Smith with a big decision to make, as the only other date available for Klitschko v Fury would be early next year and disappoint all involved yet again.
