Keith Thurman: I’m yet to hear Floyd Mayweather from Al Haymon

The undefeated puncher has been talked about as a potential foe for Mayweather’s final fight with current network Showtime, even though he has a title defense against Luis Collazo on July 11.

Mayweather is known to have September 12 down as his date for an attempt at equalling Rocky Marciano’s all-time 49-0 record, which would give Thurman just eight weeks to prepare after trading blows with Collazo.

There is plenty of doubt lingering about a possible Mayweather encounter and Thurman says nothing from Al Haymon would suggest he is in the pound for pound king’s thoughts.

“I really ask Al what’s next, we talk about that and I’m yet to hear Mayweather,” said Thurman.

Amir Khan and Andre Berto are said to be the frontrunners, with IBF title holder Kell Brook an outside chance for a four-belt unification.
