Personalities from the whole spectrum of the sport have given their input into the poll as we count down the days to the most highly anticipated fight of this generation when two of the best ever collide to finally decide the pound for pound king.

WBC and WBA welterweight champion Mayweather, 38, and 36 year-old WBO title holder Pacquiao lay it all on the line in a $250m blockbuster match-up and below are some of the views given by those from the boxing fraternity.

Daniel Ponce De Leon – It’s a fight that is very hard for the two fighter’s and both have their advantages. My tip to win is Pacquiao. The reason is because it puts many punches together, hits hard, moves fast and is now more than ever prepared very well. I’ve seen him fight better than Mayweather in their last fights. I hope not to be wrong.

Alfonso Gomez – No doubt Mayweather and Pacquiao are the best pound for pound fighters of the last decade. They both have the tools to win. But what are they fighting for? They are both fighting for a value. One’s value is Money, the other’s is God. I’m rooting for the one who’s value does not depreciate ever (Pacquiao).

Marco Antonio Rubio: Floyd Mayweather, his style is difficult and he’s a little bigger with a longer reach. But anything can happen and Pacquiao is the one to do it.

Marco Antonio Reyes – My prediction for the fight is in favor of Pacquiao. Even though he suffered one of the most shocking knockouts in boxing history, he has demonstrated in his last fights that he still has his speed, power and chin that compared to Floyd’s last two fights against Maidana which showed that Mayweather’s age has taken a toll. Floyd’s speed in his footwork and reflexes aren’t the same as his earlier years. And against a boxer like Pacquiao that throws an average of 100 punches a round, and every one of them has dynamite and speed, it won’t take him long to connect various punches that will hurt Floyd.

We can’t also forget that Pacquiao is a southpaw and Floyd has had problems with this in prior fights. For example against Zab Judah Floyd had some problems with the southpaw stance. So, I think analyzing these favorable attributes that Pacquiao has, my prediction is a unanimous decision or KO in favor of Pacquiao.

Julio Cesar Miranda – Pacquiao wins a decision

Ivan Morales – Floyd Mayweather can clearly win as his boxing is more accurate. I see him being in control and his experience will be fundamental.
