Fury, 24, defeated former cruiserweight champion Steve Cunningham in seven rounds last week and is now certified to fight an eliminator for a shot at a world title, with Haye in with a chance after trainer Adam Booth publicly announced their interest.
“Adam Booth is in talks with Mick Hennessy and Tyson has three possible options open to him,” Fury confirmed to World Boxing News this afternoon.
“No final decision will be made on the next opponent until Tyson is back (from America) and then he will decide what route he takes.”
Peter is known to favour a fight with undefeated Bulgarian Kubrat Pulev as stated in previous interviews with World Boxing News, although Tyson’s uncle has now thrown an immediate world title fight in the mix with Wladimir Klitschko.
“As of now Pulev is for mandatory number one contender to meet Tyson in a final eliminator, but also Wladimir is on the shortlist,” explained Peter.
“So we have Haye, Wladimir and Pulev for Tyson and in the next three weeks a final decision will be made on way forward.”
32 year-old Haye is almost ready to announce his comeback foe for June 29, whilst Klitschko has been the subject of a recent audacious $23million plus bid to face Alexander Povetkin on August 31 in Russia, although there is a long way to go until that fight is finalised.
The most likely scenario for Fury at this stage remains 17-0 Pulev, who has almost signed to fight the 21-0 bruiser on more than one occasion in the past and is a clash that would keep the former Irish title holder in line to gain the mandatory spot for an unavoidable clash with Wladimir in late 2013 or early next year.
