Aussies put world titles on the line

Daniel Geale (26-1, 15 KO's) will make the second defence of his IBF middleweight championship against mandatory challenger Osumanu Adama on March 7th in his native Tasmania.

The 30 year-old Australian, who easily out-pointed voluntary challenger Eromosele Albert in August last year, puts the belt he ripped away from Sebastian Sylvester on the line once again in his hometown.

Challenger Adama, 31, defeated the now-retired Roman Karmazin in October to claim his chance at facing Geale and will hope to improve his 20-2 record at the Derwent Entertainment Centre on a huge double bill.

In the second main event, IBF featherweight champion Billy Dib (33-1, 20 KO's) meets Mexican challenger Eduardo Escobedo (32-3, 23 KO's) in what is also his second defence of the red belt.

The 26 year-old demolished previous suitor Alberto Servidei in 158 seconds last time out in November and will hope to continue his great run as he seeks a unification bout with WBA 'super' champion Chris John.

Escobedo, 27, will aim to win a version of the world title at the second attempt following his failed 2007  WBO super-bantamweight title challenge against Daniel Ponce De Leon at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on the Mayweather v Hatton undercard.

Heavyweights Kali Meehan (38-4, 31 KO's) and Travis Walker (38-7-1, 30 KO's) provide chief support in a twelve-round contest for a version of the fringe IBF title on a seven-fight card - with more bouts set to be added in the near future.
