Aston and Ghent sign for Matchroom

Young professionals Ryan Aston and Tommy Ghent have added to the exodus out of Hayemaker Promotions after signing for Matchroom Sport on three-year deals.

Aston, 20, has a 3-0 record so far and recently fought on the undercard of Haye v Klitschko in Hamburg, whilst Ghent made a winning debut in September and is lined up to fight on the Kell Brook undercard this weekend in Sheffield.

It leaves Hayemaker looking more and more likely to step away from the promotional side of boxing after their biggest star George Groves left for Frank Warren Promotions and David Haye himself is lining up one more fight before retirement.
