Donaire: We will fight our hearts out


The Philippine champion Nonito Donaire and the Argentinean Omar Narvaez showed great respect for each other this Thursday, and they said they are ready for a “great fight” in the Madison Square Garden in New York for the WBC bantamweight title.


“Omar and I will return to boxing its glory days by fighting with our hearts and in representation of our countries” Donaire (26-1, 18 KOs) said in the last press conference before the fight this Saturday.


“You’ll see a great fight. I’ll give it all” promised the champion, who called the undefeated Narvaez (35-0-2, 23 KOs) an “Argentinean Legend” and an “amazing boxer” with “a lot of experience that he knows how to win bouts”


At his side, “Huracan” Narvaez of 35, from Patagonia, Argentina, thanked the “opportunity to show” his boxing and of conquering the American market, where he will be making his debut.
“It’s an opportunity for me to fight with him, to show my great boxing and show myself to the world and so the market here that doesn’t know me” said Narvaez in the event that took place in the Gallagher’s restaurant in Manhattan, which is famous by the attendance of remarkable sportsmen.



“I’ve work so hard for this bout, because I know about his great boxing skills and because is my opportunity to become three time world champion in a different division” said the Argentinean southpaw.


Narvaez showed great respect for the champion: “I know about his career, I’ve seen him in the TV” he assured.
