Briton says he would never have pulled out

David Haye has revealed that once the fight was signed with Wladimir Klitschko, he would never have pulled out of the bout injured and felt that he had to do his best despite suffering toe damage in training.

The 31 year-old retired earlier this month after taking the Ukrainian unified world champion the distance with a Broken toe and stated that even if the injury was more serious, he would still have continued on.

"It was never an option to pull out of the fight no matter what was wrong," Haye told Press Association Sport. "I was never going to pull out."

"I had to go through with it. It was not an option. Certain fights you can pull out of and certain fights you can't, and in that fight it was not an option,” he added.

The Londoner recently explained that the ball is in the Klitschko brothers court as to whether either Wladimir or Vitali share a ring with him in the future and the ‘Hayemaker’ is now concentrating on a career in acting.

Vitali, 40, is the favourite to attempt a bout with Haye but in his latest interview, 'Dr.Ironfist' admitted that he only have one or two more title defences before he moves into politics in his native Ukraine leaving a fight with Haye unlikely.
