Heavyweight eliminator moved to December

The IBF number one contender battle between ‘Fast’ Eddie Chambers and Tony ‘The Tiger’ Thompson will now take place on December 17 after Chambers suffered a back injury in training and the original date of October 28^th was called off.

According to Dan Goossen of Goossen Tutor Promotions, the bout will form part of the Super-Six Final between WBC super-middleweight title holder Carl Froch and WBA belt holder Andre Ward at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City.

The winner of the bout will be in line for a shot at unified champion Wladimir Klitschko in 2012.
