Argentinian world 126lb champion Jonathan Victor Barros will face Celestine Caballero in for the second time tonight in Buenos Aires after edging a controversial split decision over the Panamanian in July.

Last time the two met in Mendoza, Argentina, Barros defended his WBA featherweight title for the second time, edging an exciting bout with Caballero at the Polideportivo La Colonia.

The 27 year-old was give the decision on two judges’ cards 116-111, 114-112 and improved his record to 33-1 despite being put down twice in the fight.

Caballero, 35, was handed the bout 115-111 by one judge after a pulsating fight, but many at ringside thought he won the contest and may have been the victim on another hometown decision.

The two-weight world title holder, who has moved up from super-bantamweight since winning his first world crown, will hope to overturn the decision after contentiously losing for the fourth time in his 38-fight pro career in the summer.

On the undercard, former world light-heavyweight champion Hugo Garay (34-6, 18 KO’s) continues his pursuit of a belt at cruiserweight after losing to WBO belt holder Marco Huck in Germany last time out.

The 30 year-old fights in an eight-rounder against Cesar David Crenz (19-5, 12 KO’s) as he looks to put he disappointment behind him and re-mount an assault on the world 200lb rankings.
